I'm Keith Malone, founder and owner of the Online Marketing Group. I started out in sales and marketing at Hambros Merchant Bank in London during the 1980s, then moved into database programming and script-writing — back when you wrote in Basic and the internet didn't yet exist.
That programming background taught me to test everything and understand cause and effect — exactly the discipline online marketing needed when it arrived. The early days were simple; today, ranking and results mean adapting constantly to Google's algorithm changes. Keeping up with that, so our clients don't have to, is the job.
I have three sons and a daughter — two of them work alongside me in the family business. We've lived in Greenock, on the banks of the Clyde, since 2019. My passion is helping local businesses grow, and having been an entrepreneur since the 1980s I know how hard that can be.
